My Bio
I'm Macey Brown and I'm 22 years old. Notice the name change? I was married in May to the most wonderful man on Earth. Derek Brown. You can look at his stuff by clicking on the black icon with the rainbow-like colors down in my friend or watcher lists. I live in the United States in the backwoods of Tennessee. You couldn't find me if you tried. Trust me. It's far far away in a distant land.
I've been drawing since I was a toddler in my wee little high-chair. I love drawing on the computer now with my bamboo tablet from wacom.
I draw people more than anything else and am currently learning to paint them on the computer and make them look somewhat realistic. It's very exciting. Still working on the realistic painting. Stay tuned for that!

I went to school for graphic design. I also studied a bit of drawing in college. I had more drawing classes in high school, though, and I actually even took one of them twice, for fun. It was a class you could take many times, if you wanted. That is how much I love to draw. I had a year's worth of photography as well in college.
I work at a newspaper full-time, designing ads. At home, I am a freelance illustrator, currently working on Christian children's books. I am also involved in the Sketchbook Project 2011. I'm very excited about it. Find link here.
Most of the art you see on here will be my free time works. However, I hope to submit illustrations from the children's books I have been working on very soon.

Currently, I am working on illustrations for a children's book. Next, I plan on trying to paint people on the computer realistically as I can. I started on one on Wednesday and I worked on it until Friday (except for the times I worked). I'm really excited about learning how to do this. It is so much fun. I have been drawing people as long as I can remember. I need to submit a lot more to here because I have a LOT of art that I've done. It's just a matter of scanning everything in. X3
